Ignorance Never Dies
Your Demise

THE REVIEW:

Visible Noise Records is one of those labels who prefer quality over quantity. The label has only about 10 bands within it´s roster but the most wellknown ones, Lost Prophets and Bring Me The Horizon have made themselves popular all around the globe. Your Demise, a metallic hardcore band hailing from St. Albans have within their six year career had the honor to support such bands as Biohazard, Comeback Kid and Enter Shikari and inking a deal with Visible Noise. The band´s label debut “Ignorance Never Dies” was released on May 4th.

After reading the band´s bio I really wasn´t sure whether this was going to be a hit or a miss for Visible Noise. One thing that raised into my mind immediately from the bio was the huge amount of dedication these guys have towards their music. They have toured five years within small clubs and gone through several line-up changes just to make themselves name. After hearing only two songs from the album I dedided that this is an hardcore-album I just need to get reviewed. The album´s title track builds with some angry vocals and some great solid sounding guitar and bass work with a hint of Steve Albini about them. The further I go with this album the more it starts to sound as some sort of mixture of Hatebreed, Biohazard and Comeback Kid because of the amazing intensity and raging aggression the band has within their songs. The beefy breakdowns in “Dreaming Of Believing” just continue to create the Hatebreed-type of visions within my head and I really found myself comparing Your Demise to Hatebreed which really can´t be seen as a bad thing, or can it? Even though the Your Demise has the same kind of intensity and boiling aggression within their songs they still differ musically quite much from their genre brothers. As a highlight track I would pick “Dreaming Of Believing” which really made me want to go to a hardcore show and start hardcore dancing.

“Ignorance Never Dies” is a metallic hardcore album done with balls. Your Demise has managed to do the things their own way and come up with an album that definitely kicks some serious ass and gets moshpits going on their shows. If you´re a fan of metallic hardcore and enjoy listening to bands like Bury Your Dead, Comeback Kid or Hatebreed, this album is definitely worth checking out! Really solid and well made debut album!

Ive been following this band for a while, and i really enjoy it ..one of the better Real hardcore bands today in my opinion. .and with a nice touch of metal ..Burnt Tongues is my favorite track off the release and the blood stays on the blade ep is also something to check out released last year.
