Hungry For Nothing
Fight Amp

THE REVIEW:

Deep from within New Jerseys basement comes the innovative young band that is Fight Amp with their latest effort “Hungry For Nothing”. With a sound similar to “Motorhead” but with a twist Fight Amp is ready to kick ass and take names. Distorted bass and guitars roar alongside vocals that give Lemmy a run for his money. There is something about Fight Amps mix of metal and punk rock that has sucked me in. I don´t normally like this kind of music but I must make an exception for these guys.

“Hungry For Nothing” may not be epic, but its innovative enough to give its self a name amongst masses of new music . The beating of drums brings to life the first track entitled “Dead is Dead” just before toned down guitars and vocals deliver the knockout punch. But what really sold me on this song is the muffled vocals and how they are perfectly entwined amongst the instrumentals without over powering. The musicians behind Fight Amp have honed their craft to the point of perfection never once missing a beat on any song. Each track follows a well crafted formula never once straying away from it and thus giving the listener a solid experience at each and every turn. One of my favorites is “Bound And Hagged” which has a slight more punk feel then some of the other songs. I really enjoyed the bass as it moves from a heavy dominating presence to a more subdued one as the vocals start. But what really pushes this over the top for is the punk rock vocals and how flawlessly they are delivered. Fight Amp strives for perfection and it shows in everything they do. I am sold on “Hungry For Nothing” and you should be too as it will not disappoint.

Translation Loss has always brought us innovative and unique acts and one worth mentioning is definitely Fight Amp. “Hungry For Nothing” is something that you must experience for yourself to fully grasp its beauty. In conclusion Fight Amp is a classy innovative act that without a doubt deserves your attention. So be sure to pick it up when it comes out on February 19th I promise it´s worth it.
