Ardual
THE REVIEW:
What or who are Ardual? Well, Ardual is a group young metalheads, all dressed in black and oozing with ambition. A demo CD of theirs ended up in my hands and after hearing it I felt it was absolutely necessary to let everyone know how much it kicked my ass. And that it did.
Blackesque and dark, brutal yet melodic metal. The mental imagery which the music creates is of epic proportions. These Finns deliver the goods in an efficient manner, assisted with plenty of noir ambiance which only Scandinavians can do. The boys have certainly gone through their black metal collection in great detail and could most likely play every note on a given Dimmu Borgir or Emperor album. The instrumental delivery is nothing short of lethal and when you give this a few spins you canīt help but notice how nicely the songs are put together. The vocals are also right on the money, violently spitting venom all over. In terms of songwriting it all works well too. And naturally you got your keyboards in here for some added eerie harmonies and extra enjoyment.
By no means is this something out of the ordinary but considering the young age of the band itīs very clear that these guys ainīt just fooling around. It is my uneducated opinion that for this to be only their second demo recording to date, it certainly sounds very impressive indeed. Albeit itīs only a demo but everything sounds crystal clear and thereīs absolutely nothing amateurish about this.
So do yourself a favour and check it out, just so five years from now you can say that you were listening to them before they made it big time. Highly recommended.
