THE REVIEW:

The needs of the heavy metal fans are once again fulfilled while the Finnish group Tarot returns with their newest full-length ´Crows Fly Back´. The guys of Tarot have been keeping Finnish heavy metal in everyone\'s attention for twenty years by releasing 7 wonderful studio albums. Let\'s see if the eighth one continues with the same style.

The album sounds pretty ordinary superficially with its clean vocals and other basic elements. The most memorable thing in the album after the first listening was the opening track ´Crows Fly Back´. The track creates a weird, creepy feeling around right from the beginning. Other tracks which I highly recommend are ´Ashes to the Stars´, ´Before the Skies Come Down´, ´Bleeding Dust´ and ´Howl!´. ´Ashes to the Stars´ has nice guitar riffs and the vocals in the track are really powerful. ´Before the Skies Come Down´ is just one of my personal favourites because it reminds me of some good old heavy metal ballads. ´Bleeding Dust´ is a quite heavy piece of the album with a nice chorus and Soilwork-alike riffs while ´Howl!´ wakes the listener´s attention with its calmness and nice acoustic guitars.

´Crows Fly Back´ doesn´t offer anything mind-exploding but still it´s quite a nice record as a whole. It is absolutely a must-purchase for the Tarot-fans and why not also for them who aren´t familiar with the band yet but still like old, good heavy metal. Although the album doesn\'t offer anything new, it doesn\'t have anything disappointing either. I request you to give it a shot.
