Evidence of Inequity
Beneath The Massacre
THE REVIEW:
Grind, Death, Metal, Breakdowns. These are the vital elements of Beneath The Massacre. The immense speed and tempo of grind, the brutal death metal and all these combined with massive breakdowns. This four pieced band was formed in 2004, "Evidence Of Inequity" is the band´s debut release through Galy Records. The EP was recorded at Victor Studio with Yannick St-Amand (Ion Dissonance, Despised Icon) and was mastered by Alan Douches (Shadows Fall, Unearth). I must say, the production part of this EP has been in good hands.
"Comforting Prejudice" kicks off this EP in a vicious manner. From the first secods, it is more than obvious that these guys know what they're doing. The amazing technicality in the drumming and guitars shows miles away. The band whacks breakdowns on a steady basis once in every track. But the heaviest can be heard on tracks "Regurgitated Lullaby For The Born Dead" and "Nevermore". In the tracks "Profitable Killcount" and "Regurgitated Lullaby For The Born Dead" some of the high pitched and fast guitar parts sound almost something out of an eighties video game.
Anyone who likes their metal deadly and brutal as a massacre, and their breakdowns heavier than an average Hatebreed fans, this album is made for you. Fans of Despised Icon, Suffocation and Origin should definitely check this one out.
